Cookie Policy
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, to remember your preferences, and to provide site operators with information about how the site is being used. We also use browser storage mechanisms (session storage and local storage) that function similarly.
2. How We Use Cookies and Storage
Monhood uses only essential cookies and browser storage. We do not use advertising, tracking, or profiling cookies.
| Name / Key | Type | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| monhood_wallet_v1 | Essential | Stores your wallet address and session timestamp after a successful MetaMask sign-in. Used to keep you authenticated while the browser tab is open and to avoid re-signing on every page load. | Session (cleared when tab closes) |
| monhood_lang | Essential | Stores your preferred dashboard language (English or Chinese) so you do not need to re-select it on each visit. | Persistent (localStorage, no expiry) |
| monhood_settings | Essential | Stores dashboard admin settings (AI engine preference, refresh intervals, Telegram configuration) locally in your browser. Data never leaves your device. | Persistent (localStorage, no expiry) |
3. Third-Party Cookies
Monhood is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may set its own cookies or collect server log data in accordance with GitHub's Privacy Statement. We do not control GitHub's cookie behaviour.
We do not embed third-party advertising networks, social media widgets, or analytics scripts that set cookies.
4. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View and delete individual cookies.
- Block third-party cookies.
- Block all cookies (note: blocking essential cookies will prevent dashboard authentication from working).
- Clear all cookies and site data on close.
To clear your Monhood session specifically, you can open your browser's developer tools, navigate to Application > Session Storage, and delete the monhood_wallet_v1 key. This will sign you out immediately.
5. Do Not Track
We respect Do Not Track (DNT) signals. We do not track users across third-party websites regardless of DNT signal status, since we do not use cross-site tracking technologies.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use. Updates will be reflected by changing the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
